WEEE Legislation

The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) regulations came in force in the United Kingdom on the 2 January 2007. WEEE is a new piece of legislation which aims to reduce the amount of electrical and electronic equipment (EEE) that ends up in landfill. The regulations require the collection, treatment, recycling and environmentally sound disposal of WEEE. The regulations affect all brand owners, importers and distributors or retailers of EEE.

User2 has refurbished PCs and custom built new computer equipment EEE since the company was established in 1997 and are committed to help achieve greener solutions for the IT industry. User2 are a registered producer with WeeeCare as part of its obligation to fulfil the new legislation.

Any new custom built User2 PC will be marked with a crossed out wheelie bin symbol which reminds you, the consumer of your responsibility to dispose of the product correctly at the end of its life. Please contact us at the end of the equipment's life when we will advise you about its correct disposal.
